Chaplain George Bryant hosts a weekly radio show for the Business Men's Fellowship International (BMFI) on KKVV 1060 AM, Las Vegas, Nevada, every Friday from 4:02 - 4:58 PM PST. This is a live show where men can call in to share testimony or if they need help. Each week he tries to schedule a guest who can share how Jesus has changed his life and how the Fellowship has helped him in his walk with Christ.
The BMFI is a non-denomination organization open to all believers and those seeking to make a change in their lives. Chaplain George has been a member of the Fellowship for over 25 years and has seen many, many men's lives changed because they heard something they could identify with that was lacking in their life. Chapters all over the world meet weekly in restaurants for breakfast or lunch and monthly for a dinner banquet.
Chaplain George explains "the reason for meeting in a restaurant is simple. How many times have you tried to bring a friend to church with you and they had all kinds of excuses for not going? But if you invited them to break bread with you in a non-threatening place they probably would accept." This principle has been the success of the Fellowship for over 75 years. Speakers talk about how their lives were and how they changed because someone told them about the saving power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. "A person can argue with your theology but they can't argue with your testimony" according to Chaplain George.
The Fellowship also has an active prison ministry holding meetings in prisons and sharing one on one with the men. It has always been Chaplain George's hope that a man, once released, would seek out a BMFI meeting and find the help he so badly needs. Many men feel comfortable attending BMF meetings as they know they will be accepted and maybe find a friend. You might say they are a "Lighthouse" shining out in a dark and troubled world.
